Annual Campaign Underway

United Way of Baldwin County kicked off its 2011 annual campaign on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Daphne Civic Center. Auburn ISP Network sideline reporter and former Auburn team captain, Quentin Riggins was the keynote speaker, entertaining a crowd of 500 individuals and stressing the important role United Way plays in the community.

Campaign Kick-Off
Rebecca Canale and Francis Holk-Jones show off a sign created for campaign kickoff luncheon sponsors given by United Way contributor Vulcan, Inc. Companies donating $1,000 or more received a personalized sign demonstrating their support of United Way.

Gulf Shores High School sophomore Amy Johnson gave a personal testimonial about her experiences with the Jennifer Claire Moore Peer Helper program, a United Way of Baldwin County agency.

This year’s campaign goal of $925,000 is $20,000 greater than last year to meet the rising health and human service needs in the county.
